Lakefront Chateau

The Lakefront Chateau with its grand vistas and panoramic view wraps comfortably along Sandpoint, Idaho's Lake Pend Oreille.

Designed to be a stunning architectural retreat the client wanted a place where she could entertain large groups of influential friends and family while providing an intimate and comfortable retreat for guests.

GCID embraced the project incorporating circular wall planes in the otherwise ordered space. Large generous rooms with vaulted ceilings flow from one room to the next, small intimate settings are delineated by artwork, color and scale.

A circular multi-story library and theater are just some of the home's luxurious amenities. The spectacular views of the lake and outdoors are enhanced by dramatic lighting, beautiful moldings, and furnishings with natural materials and texture. A soft neutral palette works as a wonderful background to the growing art collection.
