Riley Hall, Associate Designer & Office Manager
Riley joins GCID with myriad talents, and thankfully, his clients and teammates benefit from all his superpowers. As both Associate Designer and Office Manager, he leverages his full creative and analytical abilities to craft unique design solutions and oversee the production of all projects. A native Texan, Riley’s passion for art and beautiful spaces began in childhood thanks in part to the loving encouragement of his parents.
In his role as Office Manager, Riley’s meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of design make him an invaluable asset. He intuitively knows the best choices to present, using his keen listening skills to direct every recommendation.
“Design exercises my creative side, while coordinating logistics with clients and vendors satisfies my need for order and efficiency,” Riley explains. “Colors must talk to each other, the visual flow must be cohesive. Everything must have a purpose and tell a story.”
Riley holds a degree in Advertising Art Direction from the University of Oklahoma. He spent a decade in Southern California working in graphic design and art direction before moving to Seattle to focus on residential interiors.
When he’s not transforming spaces, meticulously sourcing materials and updating clients on the GCID design experience, Riley is an avid reader, musical theater enthusiast, Lake Washington cold plunger, and traveler. “The Golden Girls” is one of his favorite guilty pleasures, he confesses. “I’m a healthy mix of Blanche with a generous dose of optimistic Rose, shrewd Dorothy and hopefully just the right amount of salty Sophia.”
