Holmes Point is a modern home built on a Waterfront setting in Kirkland. The Clients wanted to add strong architectural character to a lackluster 1980s residence and rework the interior spaces to better suit their dynamic lifestyle. GCID functioned as part of the design team from preconstruction through installation alongside Prentiss Architects. The project was completed in two phases – the first phase entailed redoing the children's bedrooms and bathrooms and creating a kid's study and media center. When the kids were heading off to college, phase two was implemented which included remodeling the living spaces, kitchen and master suite. The furniture, designed and custom built, fits the new footprint and accommodates the client's functional requirements. A curated art collection throughout the home reinforces a desire for a modern aesthetic.
